Who we are

We’re a BIPOC owned movement studio for creative expression, connection, and body-trust. We offer pole dance classes, open studio time, and space to explore movement on your own terms — without judgment, comparison, or perfectionism.

We believe movement is more than technique — it’s identity, emotion, rebellion, and release. Whether you’re self-taught, stage-trained, or just starting out, your movement is valid. You don’t need permission to begin.

We reject rigid hierarchies, comparison culture, and outdated notions of who movement is “for.” Our spaces are built for:

  • Sex workers and performers

  • Queer, trans, and nonbinary movers

  • People of all sizes, abilities, and experiences

  • Anyone reclaiming joy, sensuality, or self-trust through dance

We prioritize:

  • Body-positivity over body conformity

  • Progress over perfection

  • Expression over expectation

  • Connection over competition

Whether you're learning in class or creating in solitude, The Movement Atrium is here to support every step of your journey. This is your space to move freely — and become more of yourself.
